Some press reviews

Ushev and co. take a dark journey through the mind of a former NFB animator in this haunting, visually disturbing short. Loosely based on the emotionally volatile life of Montreal artist Arthur Lipsett, the animated film traces his traumatic upbringing right up to his later years as an avant-garde visionary, all while creating fantastically surreal imagery to illustrate his fractured state of mind. Challenging and unapologetically bleak, the picture gets a solid lift from narration by Quebecois director Xavier Dolan ( I Killed My Mother). B.H.
